We are looking for a </span><strong><span style="color:#121317">Senior Game Designer (Systems & Economy)</span></strong><span style="color:#121317"> to help evolve our leading games. </span><span style="color:#0E0E0E">You will own the long-term evolution of one or two existing games with a loyal player base, balancing player satisfaction, engagement, and commercial performance.</span></p><p><span style="color:#0E0E0E">In this role, you will own the design and optimization of progression, economy, events, and monetization systems. Your mission is to continuously evolve these games by creating compelling short-, mid-, and long-term goals that keep players engaged for months and years while maximizing player satisfaction and business performance.</span></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#121317">*Qualified applicants will be expected to complete a design test.</span></em></strong></p><p>This is a remote position.</p><p style="min-height: 1.7em;"></p><h4><span style="color:#121317">Your Role:</span></h4><ul><li><p><span style="color:#0E0E0E">Design, balance, and optimize the game’s economy, progression, and reward systems.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#0E0E0E">Create engaging player motivation loops across events, features, and monetization.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#0E0E0E">Develop and maintain a cohesive ecosystem of LiveOps events, ensuring they work together rather than compete for player attention.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#0E0E0E">Design systems that improve retention, engagement, and monetization while preserving a great player experience.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#0E0E0E">Build and maintain economy models, balancing spreadsheets, and simulations.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#0E0E0E">Use data to identify player friction points, progression bottlenecks, and monetization opportunities.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#0E0E0E">Collaborate closely with Product, BI, UA, Art, and Development teams to improve game performance.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#0E0E0E">Analyze KPIs such as Retention, ARPDAU, Conversion, LTV, and Engagement to guide design decisions.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#0E0E0E">Drive feature and event improvements through continuous testing, iteration, and experimentation.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#0E0E0E">Clearly communicate design rationale, trade-offs, and recommendations across the team.</span></p></li></ul><h4><span style="color:#121317">Your Profile:</span></h4><ul><li><p><span style="color:#0E0E0E">5+ years of experience designing and operating successful F2P mobile games.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#0E0E0E">Strong experience in systems design, economy design, progression design, and LiveOps.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#0E0E0E">Proven track record working on casual or puzzle games.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#0E0E0E">Deep understanding of player motivation, retention mechanics, and monetization design.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#0E0E0E">Strong analytical mindset with the ability to design and evaluate A/B tests and translate data into actionable improvements.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#0E0E0E">Comfortable making decisions based on KPIs and player behavior.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#0E0E0E">Self-driven and proactive, with the ability to identify opportunities without waiting for direction.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#0E0E0E">Ability to quickly understand new games, systems, and player audiences and take ownership when moving between projects.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#0E0E0E">Advanced spreadsheet skills and experience building balancing, simulation, and forecasting models.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#0E0E0E">Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#0E0E0E">Passion for creating engaging and sustainable player experiences.</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#0E0E0E">Proficient in using AI tools to improve productivity, analysis, and decision making.</span></p></li></ul><h4><span style="color:#121317">Benefits:</span></h4><p><span style="color:#121317">SOFTGAMES offers a competitive package, including:</span></p><ul><li><p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal"><strong><span style="color:#121317">Remote-first, your way</span></strong><span style="color:#121317"> — Work fully remote from wherever you do your best work, or drop into our modern Berlin office whenever you like.
