Location: Corby, <p>Estimator</p><p>We are seeking a detail-orientated and analytical Estimator with a passion for construction to join our team.</p><p><strong>Overview</strong></p><p><br> Working alongside the Senior Estimator, the ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for a wide variety of commercial construction projects. <br> Candidates must have a building background with extensive knowledge of all aspects of refurbishment and commercial construction across numerous sectors.</p><p>This role requires a strong understanding of cost control and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. The Estimator will work closely with project managers, engineers and other sub-contractors, and play a crucial role in ensuring our bids are technically accurate, timely and competitive.</p><p>Min 3 years experience in an estimating role. Full driving licence and the ability to travel when required is essential.</p><p><strong>Duties</strong></p><ul><li>Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects, including materials, subcontractors, labour and pre - lims from tenders, drawings and client briefs.</li><li>Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications</li><li>Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal design/production teams</li><li>Ensure our tenders are cost-effective and meet budget targets</li><li>Assess site constraints (levels, drainage, access, services, etc)</li><li>Conduct thorough analysis of project specifications and drawings to identify all necessary components for accurate estimation.</li><li>Conduct site surveys as required, to assess project conditions and support the tendering process.</li><li>Maintain up-to-date estimating tools, pricing databases and cost records to ensure accuracy and efficiency in future tenders.</li><li>Assist in the preparation of tender submissions and proposals as required.</li><li>Source, evaluate and manage quotations from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitiveness and compliance.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications/Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>3 years+ proven experience in estimating</li><li>Strong understanding of cost estimating principles and practices.</li><li>Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all estimates.</li><li>Proficient in using estimating software and tools, alongside advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.</li><li>Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling clear interaction with team members and clients.</li><li>Estimating construction projects up to £5m in value.</li><li>HND or equivalent in a surveying or construction related discipline<br></li></ul><p>LNKD1_UKTJ</p><br/><br/>Please mention the word **BLISS** and tag RMjA5LjQyLjI4LjExOA== when applying to show you read the job post completely (#RMjA5LjQyLjI4LjExOA==).
