Location: St Thomas, Involves providing courier services directly to customers on a daily basis including driving, customer service and completing any related administration or paperwork.<br><br><strong>General Job Description<br><br></strong><ul><li> Provides efficient and safe delivery and pick-up of packages and documents, while representing the company in a professional manner.</li><li> Operates non-articulated vehicles safely and efficiently, complying with all governmental and corporate procedures.</li><li> Accomplishes accurate and timely selection and inspection of assigned packages and the subsequent reporting of stop counts and miss-sorts.</li><li> Seeks additional business from current customers, attempts to gain new business (passes leads to sales department), and informs sales department of significant changes in customer use/competitorâs actions.</li><li> Answers customer questions on FedEx feature of service and keeps customers informed about the company and its services.</li><li> Ensures that packages conform to FedEx features of service; that proper labeling in provided; and that all paperwork is complete, neat, and accurate.</li><li> Determines legality of packages including special requirements for dangerous goods and international shipments and separates packages by service type and destination in accordance with established procedures.</li><li> Scans packages according to prescribed procedures and demonstrates proficiency in features of service and equipment.</li><li> Ensures customers have adequate supply of FedEx materials for shipping.</li><li> Loads and unloads company vehicles.</li><li> Cleans and performs minor maintenance to company vehicles as necessary and maintains neat and clean personal appearance to uphold companyâs public image.</li><li> Ensures the use of safety equipment and full compliance with FedEx safety policies, procedures, norms, rules, and practices.</li><li> May be required to perform other duties<br><br></li></ul><strong>Minimum Requirements<br><br></strong>Minimum Education: <br><br><ul><li> High School diploma</li><li> Basic English skills preferred<br><br></li></ul><strong>Minimum Experience<br><br></strong><ul><li> One (1) to two (2) years professional driving experience</li><li> Must possess appropriate license for vehicle assigned in accordance with specific country regulations (C1 and/or C2)</li><li> Good driving record</li><li> Must be 21 years old or older<br><br></li></ul><strong>Minimum Required Skills<br><br></strong><ul><li> Ability to lift 50 lbs. and to maneuver any single package weighing up to 150 lbs. with appropriate equipment or the weight limit required according to current local labor regulations.</li><li> Good verbal and writing communication skills, human relations, and team player</li><li> Must be able to successfully complete Reading, Map Reading, Sorting, and math sections of the Basic Skills Test</li><li> Customer orientated with good organizational skills</li><li> Problem Solving Skills</li><li> Accuracy & Attention to Detail</li><li> Planning & Organizing Skills</li><li>Team Working Skills</li><li>Must be able to work variable shifts, including weekend and holidays<br><br></li></ul>FedEx is widely acknowledged as a world-class company.
