The Data Privacy Support Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the organization's data privacy compliance efforts. This role will primarily focus on providing first-line support to employees on data privacy related inquiries, assisting with data subject requests, and contributing to the ongoing maintenance of data privacy programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide Data Privacy Support:
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding data privacy policies, procedures, and regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
  • Conduct data privacy trainings and awareness sessions for employees.
  • Maintain and update internal data privacy resources (e.g., FAQs, knowledge base).
• Assist with Data Subject Requests:
  • Receive, log, and triage data subject requests (e.g., access, rectification, erasure).
  • Coordinate with relevant departments to fulfill data subject requests within legal timelines.
  • Track and document all data subject request activities.
• Support Data Privacy Programs:
  • Assist in the development and implementation of data privacy policies and procedures.
  • Conduct data privacy risk assessments and assist in the development of mitigation plans.
  • Monitor and report on data privacy compliance activities.
  • Assist with internal audits and external assessments related to data privacy.
• Stay Informed:
  • Stay abreast of evolving data privacy laws and regulations.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry best practices for data privacy.
